Who We Are
Soteria Church is a community of Christ-followers - a missional church - that is devoted to authentically and intentionally reflect God's sovereignty and gracious love to the city of Everett.
The word "SOTERIA" is taken from Acts 2:42-47 (...and the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.") Soteria Church recognizes that God has called our church to willingly trust and selflessly follow Him in truth, community and purpose. Therefore, we are a church on mission, constantly seeking to be outward focused in our intention and in our priorities.
Soteria Church is different kinds of people. You will meet (a lot of) Boeing engineers and other young professionals. You will meet single adults and young families. You will also meet students, law enforcement professionals, and anyone else you might also find living in Snohomish County. You will find representatives of at least 3 generations and numerous decades already in our church.

We value truth. The preaching and teaching of God's Word, the Bible is enthusiastically emphasized. We tend to preach and teach through entire books of the Bible in order to appreciate context, and to be reminded constantly of God's big picture. Our worship is the net result of our devotion to what God says about himself, our sin, and his grace extended to us through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. And we love to worship our Lord, led by arguably the best worship band on the planet.

We value community. Many if not most of Soteria Church people are committed to small home fellowship groups we call "tribes" that meet on weeknights each week. In our tribes we learn to care for each other, and to care about the things God cares about.

We value purpose, meaning, we value the reason we are a local expression of God's Church in the first place - to be God's community of faith set in the midst of our greater or "host" community, Everett and Snohomish County. We exist to serve our city and region, to be active in sharing our faith with others, and to be involved in the planting of additional churches locally and around the world. We are a redeemed community called by God to participate with him in his redemptive work. We are, unapologetically, a "missional church"

You will not find Soteria Church to be filled with people who appear to have "all of their stuff together." We are a redeemed people, not a perfect people. But we do love Jesus, and we attempt each day to humbly respond to his gracious love with joyful obedience.
