The Everett Music Institute is a non profit entity that exists to improve and enrich the quality of life for children of all ages through accessible music education and experiences.

The Institute is committed to offering individual and group instruction to our students. The social experience of playing music with others can lead to tremendous musical and personal growth.
Our teachers and staff are allied in a desire to be a Great Music School. We want every student, guest and teacher to leave our school strengthened in mind and spirit, and more able to express their creativity!

The Everett Music Institute can offer a wide and diverse musical experience, from rock to Bach and everything in between. Students of all levels will greatly benefit from this fun yet intense learning environment. The Music Institute offers many levels of involvement for students ranging from part-time, once-a-week lessons to semi full-time which includes special classes, performance workshops and private study. Ensemble programs are offered to each student. The Institute also features occasional special guest artist seminars, workshops and concerts. Our curriculum covers: Guitar, Bass, Drums, Keyboards, Saxophone, Vocals & Digital Recording.
Michael McGee, Director of the Institute is a professional musician of 35 plus years. He has studied at the University of North Texas and the University of Washington. Michael has a Masters degree in Music Performance from the University of Washington with an emphasis in jazz studies and guitar. Along with directing DayJams Music Camp for kids, Mike is also an instructor and clinician with the National Guitar Workshop. He has held the position of head of the music department and Associate Professor of Music at Puget Sound Christian College from 1999-2006, Michael also teaches at Edmonds Community College. Mike has performed in Japan, Trinidad and Tobago, and all over the continental United States.
